אתר חדש לאור-גני

לכבוד חג החנוכה אנו מאושרים לבשר על העלאת האתר החדש של חוות אור-גני!
בשעה טובה עלה האתר לאוויר ואנו עושים את מירב המאמצים לעדכן אותו ולהוסיף תוכן ומידע
ובכך לשפר ולייעל את הזמינות והשירות!
כתובת האתר זהה לכתובת הקודמת: http://www.or-gani.org.il.
התחלנו בעידכון האתר החדש, רישום מוצרים נוספים, מתכונים ופעילויות אך ייתכן שהוספת
המידע יקח מעט זמן ומעת לעת יהיו זמינים יותר דפי תוכן.

- ברכות לעוז, מנהל השדה והאריזה שלנו ולענת אישתו להולדת בתם הבכורה שירה! אנו מאחלים להם את כל האושר והנחת ומי ייתן ויזכו להורות נפלאה!
- ימי חלוקת סלי הירקות – בעבר שלחנו מייל ובו העדכון כי אנו פותחים ימי חלוקה
נוספים מלבד שני (איזור גוש דן) ורביעי (חיפה, ירושליים ואיזור השרון). ברצונינו לחדד
את אופן החלוקה: החל מינואר 2009 אנו נוסיף יום חלוקה, אך ליום זה נעביר איזורים גיאוגרפים
מסויימים, נכון לכרגע לא נגיע למקום יותר מפעם בשבוע אך במידת הצורך נעשה כן בהמשך.
שינוי זה יעביר מקום חלוקה מסויים ליום אחר בשבוע. במהלך השבוע הקרוב נעדכן סופית איזה
איזור חלוקה מקבל סלי ירקות באיזה יום.
- פירסום תכולת סל הירקות השבועי באתר – מידי יום חמישי תפורסם בדף הבית של האתר
החדש רישמה ובה תכולת הירקות לשבוע הקרוב, אנו עושים את מירב המאמצים בכדי שהרשימה
תיהיה מעודכנת ותואמת לתכולת הסל. ככל תוצרת המגיעה מהטבע היבול עלול מעט להשתנות עקב
מזג אויר לא צפוי או תופעות כאלה ואחרות לכן נודה להבנה באם יהיו שינויים קטנים. כמובן
שנשמח לקבל כל בקשה והעדפה לתכולת הסל האישית שלכם!

טיפ לחנוכה
בכדי להקל על חיתוך תפוחי האדמה לצורך הכנת לביבות חנוכה מומלץ להשתמש בשיטה הבאה:
- מקלפים את כמות תפוחי האדמה הרצויה וחותכים לקוביות.
- מכניסים לבלנדר עד שהוא חצי מלא ומוסיפים מים למילוי החצי העליון של הבלנדר.
- מפעילים את הבלנדר על העוצמה הגבוהה ביותר לסרוגין עד שתפוחי האדמה מגוררים.
- מסננים לתוך מסננת עם רשת חורים דקה, ממתינים שהמים יופרשו וישארו תפוחי האדמה מעט
לחים.
בשיטה הזו מתבשלים תפוחי האדמה באופן אחיד בזמן טיגון הלביבות ללא צורך בבישול מוקדם!

We are happy to announce our new websute, ready just in time for Hanukah! The new site is up and we are working to increase the content and functionality.
The address is the same as the old site, www.or-gani.org.il.
Please send us recipes to include, as well as events, news, etc. Soon you'll be able to manage your accounts, add items, etc., all through the website.

More news from the Farm

- Congratulations to Oz, our field and packaging manager, and to Anat his wife on the birth of their first daughter, Shira! We wish them the greatest joy in their fascinating journey as parents!
- Delivery Days - We have previously told you by email that we would like to add delivery days beyond Monday (in the central area) and Wednesday (in Haifa, Jerusalem, and the Sharon area). We would like to provide more information on the new schedule. As of January 2009, we will be adding delivery days for the different areas, each area will be reached on a particular day, and as need arises we'll be able to add delivery days for particular areas. We'll have specifics on this in the coming weeks.
- What's in your basket? - Every Thursday we'll be publishing the next week's vegetables on our website. We do our best to make sure that the list is accurate. Naturally, as with all things natural, we can never forecast our harvest perfectly, so we appreciate your understanding. And of course, we are always happy to hear about your likes and dislikes so that we can customize your basket!
- Fruit Baskets - You can now order citrus of exotic fruit baskets with your regular baskets! The fruit is great, and the prices are right.

Levivot, Veggies Burgers, and more...
A tip for Hanukah
In order to ease the cutting of the potatoes when making Levivot, use the following system:
- Please and cube the desired number of potatoes
- Fill the bottom half of the blender with the cubed potatoes, add water to fill the rest of the blender.
- Run blender on high until the potatoes are completely chopped up.
- Press potatoes in a sieve to remove excess water.
By following this system, the potatoes will cook evenly, and you won't need to pre-cook them. Good luck!
